AG Staff Produce Healthy Eating Cookery Book for NI Hospice
Staff at AG have capitalised on the nation’s Great British Bake Off and Great British Menu crazes by producing their own recipe book for the company’s adopted charity, the Northern Ireland Hospice.
The NI Hospice provides specialist care and works to provide the best quality of life for patients and their families.
Staff from across the company have contributed over 50 recipes to be included in the cookery book. As part of its ongoing Corporate Responsibility programme and commitment to health and well-being AG encouraged staff to submit healthy recipes for inclusion in the book. The recipes range from nutritious soups and starters, to wholesome mains and healthy treats.
This is the second year of the health and well-being campaign, according to AG’s Health, Safety and Environment Manager Cathy Donnelly.
“This charity initiative has created great buzz throughout the company and has boosted morale among staff. The healthy cookbook is in line with our health and wellbeing initiative, which promotes the benefits of healthy eating to our personnel and encourages staff to maintain a healthy lifestyle inside and outside the workplace.
“Staff from across the company have collaborated to provide their favourite healthy recipes for the cook book, which will be sold in aid of AG’s charity, the Northern Ireland Hospice.”
On Friday 18th November AG will also be hosting a #PurpleDay for their staff including coffee mornings across its four outside rooms to help raise further funds for NI Hospice.
The cookery book is available for purchase at any of the AG sites at Ballygawley, Carryduff, Dungannon, Fivemiletown, Magherafelt, and Toome.
