AG Turns a Spotlight on Energy Management
The first official AG energy committee meeting happened recently in Dungannon, part of the company’s overall commitment to monitoring and reducing energy consumption across all sites.
The newly created energy committee has been charged with inspiring a culture of energy awareness to help the company achieve its objectives of not only complying with but exceeding legislative requirements.
Part of the committee’s remit is to work with the designated energy champions at each site and facilitate a training session with AG’s utility provider, Energia. The training will help champions to monitor electricity consumption during productive and non-productive hours, so they can highlight potential energy waste and make recommendations as to how AG can make savings.
Energy efficiency is a positive step towards greater environmental responsibility. Being seen as ‘green’ and improving both AG’s carbon footprint and sustainability performance will enhance AG’s reputation amongst customers and shareholders.
