MPA & British Precast Award Winners!

MPA & British Precast Health and Safety Award Winners!

We are so thrilled to announce we have been crowned MPA Award Winners for our Safer Management of Pedestrian and Transport on site.

The aim of our Gateway to SafeDay project was to promote a positive safety culture across the site and raise awareness of the hazards associated with workplace transport among employees, customers, hauliers and contractors.

The initiative, taking into consideration all best practice guidance was tailored and further developed to the specifics of the AG site resulting in improved traffic management.

Changes made provide significant risk mitigation against injury or harm from five of the Fatal 6 Categories reducing, successfully controlling and in some cases eliminating the following:

  • Pedestrian / Vehicle contact
  • Mobile plant/pedestrian contact
  • Falls from height during the loading and unloading procedure
  • Injury caused during operating mobile plant
  • Vehicle collisions including customers/ hauliers and employees

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved with this project and all staff, customers, haulers and contractors that continue to implement our safer management system.

The MPA & British Precast’s prestigious Awards scheme recognises organisations for demonstrating Health & Safety Best Practice across the Mineral Products Sector.

AG are pleased to receive recognition for our teams for our team’s hard work on improving workplace safety demonstrating our commitment to ensuring all our employees, contractors and visitors go home safe.
