Hours of work: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Main Purpose
Manage all purchasing activities for AG. To source suppliers and negotiate purchasing contracts, and develop effective purchasing policies specific to business needs, whilst overseeing their implementation and integration into the business.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Management of Centralised Procurement Department within AG for the purchase of all goods and services.
- Build strong working relationships with the OEM suppliers and general supply base and work in conjunction with the Facilities team to ensure adequate parts / spares availability in place to keep production lines operational.
- Ensure that supplier at fault issues are followed up and properly compensated for.
- Ensure all purchasing agreements are negotiated to best value and commercial terms.
- Maintaining trade agreement cost prices within Microsoft Dynamics ERP system.
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure optimum procurement takes place within AG.
- Preparation and presentation of purchasing reports for management.
- Developing and maintaining the procurement policy, processes and strategies.
- Work in conjunction with the company Stock Controller to ensure adequate supplies of material and consumables are secured in a timely fashion to protect operations performance.
- Any other duties as required by Senior Management and Directors commensurate with the role.
