Reports To: Despatch Manager

Location: Toome

Hours of work: Normal opening hours which must be covered are as follows:
8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday

Main Purpose

The successful applicant will liaise with customers, despatch, sales and operations personnel to ensure efficient creation and despatch of product samples

KEY DUTIES

  • Deal with customers in a helpful and courteous manner whilst maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times;
  • Coordinate all sample requests received into the business ensuring the ordering, sample processing and despatch activities are carried out efficiently and effectively
  • Carry out any despatch duties in an efficient and effective manner. Ensure correct business procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Schedule courier deliveries for direct to customer samples
  • Liaise closely with dispatch to ship samples with existing customer loads and other hauliers.
  • Keep the samples office tidy and secure
  • Maintain and monitor adequate sample stock levels using stock control system
  • Be proactive in seeking service improvement opportunities
  • Create and package sample requests when required
  • Interact with other members of staff and management in a pleasant and professional manner;
  • Carry out any other duties as required by management and within skills capabilities.
  • Adhering to all Company Health and Safety polices at all times, wearing the correct company PPE while working in the plant and yard, taking responsibility for your own safety and that of work colleagues.

Education, Qualifications and Training:

At least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent grades A-C, including maths and English

Previous administration experience in an office environment

Proficient in MS Office with a good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Valid driving licence

ERP/CRM system experience
