Oxstalls Campus, University of Gloucestershire
Birkes and Pepper Plaza tick all the boxes at major educational project.
When the University of Gloucestershire’s School of Business and Technology moved to a brand-new, state-of-the-art home at its Oxstalls campus, architects Austin-Smith-Lord were tasked with delivering a landmark educational project befitting the university’s standing and location.
A key part of the University’s masterplan, the Business School and Growth Hub represented a major step for the university to realise its ambitious vision to develop new facilities for teaching, business services, sports and student accommodation in Gloucester at its Oxstalls campus.
The new School of Business and Technology – designed to a BREEAM excellent rating – features a business incubation centre, Thompson Reuters trading rooms, its own moot courtroom, and equipment on par with that would be the envy of corporates the world over.
The extensive exterior hard landscaping area spanning some 1600m2 features AG’s AG’s Plaza Birkes and Pepper paving.
