Safe Day Campaign 2022

AG leads the way in committing to a positive health and safety culture across the company, with a fantastic 2022 Safe Day Campaign.

AG welcomed a variety of speakers from all walks of health and safety, to present to the AG teams across Fivemiletown, Toome and Carryduff sites.

Thank you to TCTS Group for their in-depth and knowledgeable presentation on road safety and mental health. The importance of clear concise communication in a high risk environment, was brought to light with a round broken telephone.

The instinctive reactions of the AG team were put to the test with an interactive emergency response session, lead by Global Horizon Skills. Thank you to Yvonne and Anne who helped us to come away from the session feeling better equipped to deal with an emergency.

Eurofire lit up the afternoon with a demonstration on how to safely use fire extinguishers with the help of their fire simulation rig. Thank you to Ben Cross who helped to highlight the importance of fire safety and provided clarity of the correct fire extinguishers to use.

The Safe Day Campaign rounded up with our Men’s Chat hosted by Catherine Downey from Business in the Community, Northern Ireland. Catherine discussed the four pillars and an overview on the importance of healthy eating.

At AG, the wellbeing of our employees is one of our core values. Safety is an essential component of all activities and it needs to be managed in such a manner as to avoid, reduce or (at the very least) control risk. Safety is the most crucial investment we can make – the question is not what it costs us, but what it saves.
