AG Paving and Building Products is proud to announce Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke (NICHS) as its official charity partner for 2025, continuing the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting meaningful causes across Northern Ireland.

Over the years, AG has raised tens of thousands of pounds for notable charities such as Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, Macmillan Cancer Support, Dementia NI and Marie Curie Cancer Care. This new partnership with NICHS marks an exciting chapter in AG’s charity efforts as the company collaborates with the charity to improve the lives of those affected by chest, heart, and stroke conditions.

For over 75 years, NICHS has been at the forefront of combating these illnesses, providing expert care, prevention programs, and vital research. Their work helps individuals lead healthier lives and improves outcomes for those already affected.

The choice of NICHS as AG’s charity partner for 2025 is a natural extension of the company’s commitment to Wellbeing, one of its core values. After a company-wide poll, AG’s employees selected NICHS for its impactful mission to improve health across the region, aligning perfectly with AG’s focus on physical and mental wellbeing through its Activ8 health and wellbeing programme.

Accredited at Level 3, the highest level under the “Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing” framework, Activ8 has garnered significant recognition. In 2024, it won the “Wellbeing at Work” award at the BITC Responsible Business Awards and the “Safer through Improvements in Health + Safety” award at the MPA Health + Safety Awards.

Throughout 2025, AG will host a series of fundraising events that reflect the values of its Activ8 programme, focusing on health, physical activity, and community engagement. These initiatives will not only raise awareness for NICHS but also encourage both employees and the wider community to prioritise their wellbeing, making a lasting contribution to the charity’s mission.

Stephen Acheson, CEO of AG, commented, “We are thrilled to announce Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke as our charity partner for 2025. Our employees selected this charity because of its dedication to enhancing the lives of those impacted by these serious health challenges. With their extensive services and groundbreaking research, we are excited to support their ongoing efforts to improve outcomes and save lives.”

A representative from NICHS added, “We are thrilled to have AG as a partner in our mission to prevent chest, heart and stroke conditions and support people affected by them. Their support will be invaluable in helping us continue to provide expert care, deliver prevention services, and fund life-changing research. Together, we can make a real difference to the lives of thousands of individuals and families across Northern Ireland.”
