AG have several employee benefits which have been introduced to improve employee’s health and wellbeing such as our cycle to work scheme, Activ8 wellbeing program, employees’ perks card and flexible working policy. We run health fayres, where local health professionals offer various health screening services such as cancer screening, smoking cessation support, skin scanning and reduced membership to gyms. We also provide regular health surveillance for all employees, facilitated by occupational health professionals to identify work related health problems allowing any corrective workplace adjustments to be made.
AG also have an Employee Assistance Programme facilitated by Inspire Workplaces NI, giving employees access to a free confidential counselling and support service. We recently introduced “Health Shield”, a health cash plan which reimburses employees for costs associated with everyday healthcare needs, ensuring they can focus on the importance of their wellbeing without financial worry.
In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy AG defines sustainability as the intrinsic balance between the social, economic and environmental aspects of our business operations. AG share a strong commitment to the link between a sustainable environment and our local Community. We strive to meet our customer demands as well as exceeding their expectations.
We have a dedicated CSR team which aims reduce overall carbon emissions as well as develop low carbon products as part of our company strategy. AG use recycled and reclaimed materials in our products – promoted on packaging/social/website and brochures. Packaging for palletised products are made from recycled materials and are also fully recyclable. AG has also switched to using BioLPG which provides a 300T CO2 saving.
As of August 1st 2021 AG switched to 100% Renewable electricity supply and plan to have a full electric Car/van fleet by 2025.
