AG has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting wellbeing across the construction sector through its partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, which provides emotional, physical, and financial support to those working in the industry.

AG began supporting Lighthouse in early 2025 through an annual donation. In 2026, this relationship has evolved into a formal charity partnership, with a programme of fundraising and awareness initiatives now forming a key part of the company’s support.

This partnership sits within AG’s wider Health & Wellbeing Programme, Activ8 – an award-winning, Take 5 accredited initiative focused on improving physical and mental wellbeing across the business and beyond.

AG has committed to delivering a range of fundraising and awareness initiatives throughout the year, with the aim of supporting Lighthouse’s free, confidential 24/7 services for construction workers and their families. These services provide vital support across areas including emotional wellbeing, financial guidance, and crisis intervention.

A key element of this collaboration has been AG’s involvement in the charity’s #MakeItVisible campaign. Following a successful visit to AG’s Toome site last year, Lighthouse representatives recently delivered a session at their head office in Fivemiletown, encouraging open conversations around mental health, challenging stigma, and promoting a culture where individuals feel supported to seek help when needed.

Building on this momentum, employees from across the business recently came together for a fundraising event. On Sunday 19 April, a number of AG colleagues, along with their families and friends, took on the challenge of climbing the Cuilcagh Boardwalk in County Fermanagh. The event raised both funds and awareness for Lighthouse, while reinforcing the importance of wellbeing across the organisation.

Participants demonstrated strong teamwork and determination throughout the climb, supporting one another along the route. The event not only contributed to fundraising efforts but also provided an opportunity for colleagues from different sites and departments to connect through a shared purpose.

This climb marks just one of a series of planned initiatives for 2026. A number of fundraising and employee engagement activities will be rolled out across all sites, ensuring continued support for Lighthouse while further embedding a culture of openness around mental health within the organisation.

By combining practical fundraising with awareness initiatives such as #MakeItVisible, AG is working not only to generate financial support for Lighthouse, but also to drive lasting cultural change within the construction industry.
