AG Awarded ISO 14001

AG has achieved the international environmental standard ISO 14001.

“Achievement of the standard is great recognition of AG’s commitment to environmental best practice at all levels, from the workers in the quarries to senior management.

AG was awarded the Standard in February 2011. Environmental awareness has always been high on our agenda. We’re very conscious of the impact of the business on our surroundings and with eight sites, ranging in size from 16 acres to 130 acres – qualifying for ISO 14001 was a huge challenge.

However, our existing energy management, waste and anti-pollution policies contributed greatly and our energy awareness days have been a regular practice at all AG sites with every member of staff getting involved.”
