A Greener Future
AG are committed to conserving and enhancing local biodiversity across all of our manufacturing locations, demonstrating best practice and raising public awareness – ensuring the wildlife, species, habitats and geo-diversity are considered, managed and safeguarded in all our business activities.
Reduce Emissions
At AG we already have one of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry and this pledge to reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions by 30% highlights our dedication to reducing the environmental impact of our operations to an absolute minimum.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
AG has switched to 100% renewable energy, reducing CO2 levels.
ELECTRIC
We’ve installed electric charge points on all sites and currently run a fleet part comprised of bio-diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles for business and industrial transport.
RECYCLING
All our products are 100% recyclable, even the packaging for palletised loads – delivering both environmental and business benefits.
USING LESS WATER
We are commited to using less water in our manufacturing processes utilising recycled water.
MANUFACTURING INNOVATION
AG partnered in a successful Innovation programme with Queens University to reduce Carbon Emissions in our manufacturing, leading to a KTP Future Leader Award.
REDUCE TRAVEL
Incorporated virtual meetings to reduce unnecessary travel and also operating a ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme.
EPDs
At AG we exist to develop and create the most sustainable paving and building products available today.
We believe that transparency and knowledge are crucial in fostering a sustainable future. By providing comprehensive data on the environmental impact of our products, we empower our customers to make choices that align with their sustainability goals. As part of this commitment we have published third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for over 370 of our products.
Fivemiletown Wash Plant
A £2 million investment in a new wash plant has facilitated very significant cost and efficiency savings and reduced carbon levels. The wash plant also enhances product consistency, leading to better quality finished products and, crucially, allows AG to process waste materials, including discontinued lines, and recycle into new production.
Business in the Community
Climate Action Pledge
As we continue on our sustainability journey, we remain as committed as ever to reducing our carbon emissions and cutting down on unnecessary production outputs without compromising on the quality of our finished goods.
Our Toome ‘Flagstone’ Products are accredited to BES 6001.
