Innovation has been at the heart of a busy year for AG Paving and Building Products, with a series of new product launches and range expansions strengthening its offering across paving, walling and facing brick.

The latest additions include Tessaro, a premium linear paving range, and Axis, an innovative lightweight retaining wall solution. These follow the launch of two new facing brick ranges, Heathfield and Classic, alongside the expansion of the popular HomePave range with new HomePave Flagstones.

Together, the launches represent a significant expansion of AG’s portfolio, giving customers greater choice across a wide variety of project types, applications and budgets. Each range has been developed with a clear focus on the practical needs of customers and specifiers, combining considered design with durability, ease of installation and strong environmental credentials.

The continued investment in product development reflects AG’s wider commitment to innovation and its ambition to create concrete products that help customers build better, faster and with confidence.

Tessaro: Premium Linear Paving with Added Character

Tessaro is the latest premium linear paving range to join AG’s portfolio, combining a contemporary format with a lightly antiqued surface finish that brings warmth, character and timeless appeal to landscaped spaces.

Available in five colour blends – Cinder, Dune, Mist, Haze and Smoke – Tessaro’s 240 x 60 x 80mm format is suited to pathways, pedestrian areas, patios and wider landscaped environments.

Its linear proportions provide designers with the flexibility to create distinctive paving layouts, while the spacer nib configuration allows for herringbone, half-stretcher and quarter-stretcher bond patterns, providing a choice of configurations to suit different architectural styles and project requirements. Manufactured to hEN 1338:2003, Tessaro is frost resistant and suitable for heavy-traffic applications, combining visual appeal with the durability required for demanding external environments.

The range also incorporates AG’s Enduur 1 concrete technology, developed to enhance surface colour, reduce the risk of efflorescence and increase product longevity, while helping to protect against moss and algae growth and deep staining.

Enduur 1 also delivers 70% less embodied carbon per paving block, reinforcing the range’s sustainability credentials, while Tessaro is backed by a 30-year guarantee.

Axis: A New Direction in Retaining Wall Design

Axis is AG’s new lightweight retaining wall solution, engineered around strength, sustainability, simplicity and efficient use of space.

Manufactured to hEN 771-3:2011+A1:2015, the dry-build retaining wall system features a distinctive Stone Cut finish and is designed for garden and private driveway applications, with engineered solutions available for retaining walls up to 2.5m high.

At the core of the Axis system is a lightweight unit designed to make handling and installation quicker and easier on site. Its mortarless and pinless dry-build construction requires no mortar or concrete and can be installed across a wide range of weather conditions, providing an efficient alternative to traditional brick and blockwork construction.

Axis has also been developed to help customers make better use of available space. Its optimised vertical face and no-batter design reduce the footprint normally required for a retaining wall, helping maximise usable land on compact developments, boundaries and sites where every metre counts.

The vertical face also incorporates an anti-climb profile, making the system particularly suited to environments including schools, playgrounds and public areas where additional consideration must be given to accessibility and safety.

Large through-cores align vertically from course to course, allowing straightforward filling and providing flexibility for the integration of suitable light fencing. Subject to individual project design, fence posts can potentially be installed through up to five courses.

Further attention has been given to the finishing details of the system. Axis features tapered, asymmetrical capping blocks, making it easier to cap both straight and curved walls, alongside dedicated corner blocks designed to create a clean and consistent finish.

Sustainability has also played an important role in the development of Axis. Manufactured in the UK using locally sourced materials, the product is produced using 100% renewable energy and 100% rainwater harvesting, while 100% of the finished product is recyclable. Waste wood and plastic used within the manufacturing process is also 100% recycled, contributing to the product’s BREEAM ‘A’ rating.

Greater Choice Across Paving, Walling and Brick

Tessaro and Axis form part of a wider programme of product development across AG.

The introduction of Heathfield and Classic has strengthened the company’s facing brick portfolio, providing additional options across different project requirements and price points, while the addition of HomePave Flagstones has broadened AG’s paving offering for practical, everyday landscaping applications.

From accessible paving and facing brick solutions through to premium hard landscaping products and engineered retaining wall systems, the latest launches provide customers with a broader and more versatile portfolio from a single UK and Ireland manufacturer.

The programme also demonstrates AG’s continued focus on developing products around the challenges facing today’s construction and landscaping sectors – from installation efficiency and site optimisation to durability, design flexibility and embodied carbon.

With innovation embedded across its product development programme, AG will continue to invest in solutions that combine performance, practicality, design and sustainability, creating products that deliver greater choice for customers and help shape better-performing spaces for the future.
