Installation of A-PED Pedestals on a Roof Terrace.
Designed for non-combustible terraces and raised floors, the A-PED is Buzon’s first fully fire-rated pedestal system. Manufactured from recycled aluminium and zinc-coated steel, it meets Class A1 fire safety standards and offers adjustable heights from 24mm to 395mm.
Engineered for precision and durability, the A-PED features an integrated slope corrector, allowing for up to 5% millimetre-perfect adjustment. Its large load-spreader base ensures stability without compromising insulation or waterproofing. Suitable for use with paving, decking, and grating, this advanced pedestal system is the ideal choice for a secure and seamless installation.

The Buzon PB range offers a flexible, fully adjustable solution for both commercial and residential spaces. Now BBA-certified, these pedestals provide a sturdy and reliable foundation for paving and decking, with height adjustments ranging from 12mm to 955mm for quick and easy installation.
Designed for strength and versatility, the PB pedestal system features an enlarged head surface to support a variety of materials, including thick ceramic tiles, concrete and natural stone pavers, as well as wooden or composite decking.

Spacer Tabs
Attached to the pedestal head, Spacer Tabs separate pavers maintaining perfect alignment and facilitating drainage. The PB range has spacer tabs in a variety of heights and widths to suit pavers of assorted sizes, including 20mm porcelain.

Shims.
Shim options are available for the head or the base of the PB pedestal and depending on where they are used, can be used to aid stability, deaden sound, or to add height either uniformly or to compensate for variations in paver thickness.

Fire-Safe Rooftop Terrace
To ensure maximum fire safety for residents and visitors, a non-combustible solution was essential. AG’s Class A Tavira 600x400mm concrete paving in Silver was selected, perfectly complemented by Buzon’s aluminium A-PED range, which was supplied and installed over a single-ply finish to Rockwool insulation.
