Woodward fine cast brick, Ashbrooke Antique + Clarendon Blue Smooth

The attractive new €17.5m Apartment Development in Scribblestown Co. Dublin is the latest accommodation with John Sisks & Sons contractors.

The modern design of the apartment complex is complemented by AG’s Woodward Fine Cast Brick. Ashbrooke Antique was chosen for its mixture of light and dark colour tones which complement the building.

Woodward’s modern facing brick benefits include the frogged depression on the surface of the brick, making them lighter and easier to handle than solid bricks.  The frog creates an extra recess for the mortar, resulting in a stronger bond between bricks. Frogged bricks reduce the environmental impact as the indentation in the brick uses less material, which also helps reduce the curing time of the bricks.

"We work very closely with Sisks and have supplied a number of their housing developments which are finished to a very high standard. The inclusion of AG Woodward Fine Cast Brick provided Sisks with the textured finish they were looking for, along with the technical performance that Woodward delivers.”
