The Shenley Park project is the Centre for Logistics Training and Education, located at UK’s Premium Logistics Park.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide 24/7 spaces for relaxation, collaboration, and learning. AG were proud to supply Plaza paving for this innovative project, ensuring the outdoor areas complemented the facility’s forward-thinking design while meeting durability and sustainability requirements.
BCA Design and Stephen George + Partners (SGP) chose Plaza paving in Salt and Pepper to reflect the contemporary style of the facility, seamlessly integrating with the overall design. Plaza paving is manufactured with sustainability in mind, ensuring a lower carbon footprint with the entire range earning a BRE Green Guide A Rating, and selected depths achieving BREEAM A ratings*. The project aimed to minimise its environmental impact, requiring materials that aligned with green building standards. To meet these needs, BCA Design selected AG premium Plaza paving with recently published and independently verified EPDs, which identifies it as the lowest carbon premium paving range on the market.
With the inclusion of Enduur 1, Plaza benefits from enhanced surface colour, reduced efflorescence, increased strength, and improved resistance to wear and tear. This innovation not only extends the product’s longevity and vibrance but also reduces embodied carbon by 70% per percentage of cement replaced. Additionally, it helps prevent moss, algae growth, and deep staining, ensuring that Plaza retains its original look and durability over time. This is reflected in Plaza’s performance metrics (according to hEN 1339:2003).

"AG’s Plaza paver was an ideal fit for the Shenley Park project. Offering high quality aesthetic appeal, improved slip resistance and with a reduced carbon production process, the Plaza range ticked all the boxes and was a key element to providing a versatile and functional space that has been warmly received by the users and visitors of the wider DIRFT III Business Park."
