One of London’s most famous railway stations, the East India Dock Station underwent a transformation as part of a major refurbishment at Canary; to create a station infusing contemporary design with light, radiance and clean lines.

With a particular colour palette in mind, the architects were struck by AG’s ability to devise a bespoke colour palette of red and black using AG’s paving. The colour scheme creates an attractive pattern underfoot, striking the perfect balance for the landmark station.

An extra dimension was further added by the addition of AG’s Riverstone Blackwater paving, which with its effect of the granite flecks, brought vibrancy to the station, creating a light ambience to the space.

Durability was key in the choice of the product and the AG paving created the hard-wearing, long-lasting surface required of a busy London station with continual and heavy pedestrian traffic.

The AG products used, renowned for their aesthetics and performance, have resulted in a unique appearance within an iconic venue, through a bespoke and one-off colour scheme and pattern. Though texture, colour, durability and design, the project showcases the key benefits of AG’s innovation and product ingenuity.
