The first customer to use AG’s River Stone paving was the Northern Ireland GO Petrol Stations franchise owned by Lissan Coal Company (LCC).

Lissan Coal is a large and diverse family-controlled business, headquartered in Cookstown. The business is as a distributor in fuel oil and gas along with related fuel products and equipment, as well as wholesaling and retailing of coal. The group has launched and is developing its ‘GO’ branded fuel stations and outlets.

Taggart Design in Cookstown were approached by LLC to design the GO outlets. They provide an architectural and planning consultancy service from conception design stage to the finish built product on-site, for all aspects of domestic and commercial projects.

Jason Taggart, Architect, stated that:

“Due to the expected high volume of traffic it was essential to choose a paving product which would not only be able to support the weight of traffic but also perform to the standards required for such a busy forecourt environment.

“It was essential we chose a product that was hard wearing. It was equally important to specify a product that matched GO’s fresh and vibrant image.

“AG’s River Stone paving product more than met our requirements. It looks contemporary, is easily maintained, is frost resistant and prevents corrosion by salt. Plus, the four colour blend of River Stone Slaney complimented the contemporary appearance of the scheme.”

AG’s River Stone paving range has a sharp edge with no chamfer, reducing long term maintenance and providing a highly durable finish. The gently rippled surface provides a crisp, clean feel and is available in three unique colour blends.
