AG is proud to have been associated with the construction of a new £5million state-of-the-art car showroom in Newry.
Located just off the Armagh Road, the Shelbourne Motors multi-franchise facility boasts car showrooms, new car handover bays, a lounge-style waiting area with café, and a drive-thru service centre with a 28-bay workshop.
The Solution
AG’s Anchor® Vertica® 4° Basalt was used by retaining wall specialist Maccaferri to build the retaining wall above the entrance road to the new facility, and the successful completion of the project is a significant milestone for Shelbourne Motors.
Build faster and safer with Machine Install, which has been designed to increase speed, efficiency and safety during the installation process of retaining wall blocks, Vertica® blocks can be quickly and efficiently moved from pallet to wall with minimal intervention, thereby reducing build times and labour requirements and delivering a safer working environment – key elements for main contractor O’Hare & McGovern.
Anchor® segmental retaining wall blocks are manufactured from locally sourced, high-grade aggregates using the latest computerised systems. Durability and performance is assured by meeting or exceeding targets for crushing strength and water absorption.
