The legacy of fine bone china creator Josiah Wedgewood has been preserved in The World of Wedgwood, a unique, interactive visitor centre celebrating the very best of British craftsmanship.

The revamped attraction, set in 281 acres of parkland south of Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre houses a museum, remodelled factory tour, and luxurious dining and shopping spaces.

With their expertise in paving solutions, AG successfully assisted the architect and main contractor who were eager to create a lasting first impression at the entrance to the visitor centre. The collaborative approach resulted in an aesthetic which reflected the grandeur of the site.

The main entrance and steps were landscaped with an eye-catching expanse of AG’s premium TerraPave® flags in Rimini, which are manufactured from carefully selected aggregate materials from quarries throughout Europe and are available in complementary ground and textured finishes. The Rimini’s bright finish was contrasted by the darker finish of TerraPave® Florento wall copings.

The elegant landscape was accented by bespoke seating created using TerraPave® Florento flagstones. These created a co-ordinated approach, tying together all the key elements of the design.
